Meta Quest only change.
We have some important news about how ice tag works behind the scenes. For a long time, we used a system called OculusXR to make the game run on Meta Quest headsets. It helped us build the frozen world you play in today!
We are now switching the Meta Quest version of the game to OpenXR. Think of this like a "universal translator" for VR. It makes it easier for us to add cool new features and keeps the game running smoothly as technology changes.
If you play on a PC using SteamVR, don't worry! Nothing is changing for you yet.
Because of this switch to OpenXR, ice tag will no longer run on the original Meta Quest 1 headset.
The Quest 1 uses older technology that cannot keep up with these new updates. To keep playing the game on a Meta Quest headset, you will need to use a Quest 2, Quest 3, or Quest Pro.
You can jump back into the ice arena on those devices or SteamVR right now!
